Big Baby
Lizzie / 12/6/12 |
There are days when the rest of the world can let you down... when friends prove to not be friends, when work seems too overwhelming... when everything seems to be on the opposite side of what needs to be done to get things right...
and then there is the eternal and unconditional love of a pet.
This is my Lizzie. She is big, she is playful, and sometimes she is downright annoying, but she is always there... no matter what, loving me.
When I don't feel good and I am in the bed, she lays there loyally and sits with me, when I am doing my school work, she sits beside me (or in this case UNDER ME) while I work away.
Dogs are pretty special creatures, and this one is one of the best.

Dublin, Ireland
Dublin, Ireland 2009 |
Dublin has a unique feel. The city is not overly large, cramped, or busy like New York or London, but its still a city. There is an element of hustle and bustle about, fine dining, upscale shopping, car horns and sirens in the night... but there are these soft and quiet waterways, beautifully expansive parks, and a softer feel that makes one ultimately comfortable in their surroundings. I loved Dublin, it is, by far, my most favorite place to visit in the world. I would go back immediately.

Random Pics
Macon. Georgia 2010 |
I live in an area that is a mix between a boom area that built up around an Air Force Base during the war years and after and a town that existed during the Civil War and was overlooked by Sherman during his march to the sea... The good part about that is in downtown, while they are now currently revitalizing the area (and doing a bang up job mind you) they are also attempting to preserve the older architecture and buildings, and sometimes you can find these little corners and alleys that look interesting and amazing... for some reason I loved this little spot.
